Qatar-Singapore Joint Innovation Challenge
Fostering innovation and collaboration between Singapore-based startups and Qatari entities across critical sectors such as energy, environmental sustainability, insurance, and information technology.

APPLICATION PHASE
2 November 2023 - 1 March 2024
The application phase will run from 2 November, 2023 (SGT/GMT+8) and will end on 1 March, 2024 at 23:59pm (SGT/GMT+8).
Criteria for Application
The criteria for the application phase are as follows:
- Register on the platform.
- Select a challenge statement to address.
- Complete the participation form.
- Submit a 5 to 10 slide PDF proposal deck, including the following details:
- Details of Applicant
- Executive Summary: In less than 500 words, provide a summary of the solution, technology and deliverables. This should include the tangible and intangible outcomes of the project.
- Detailed project proposal, including:
- Technical feasibility of solution and unique facets
- Effectiveness in addressing the challenge
- Potential benefits
- Operational feasibility
- Business feasibility of solution
- Capacity and expertise to execute
- Details on POC/MVP if applicable; Desired deliverables/milestones and outcomes of projects
- Ability to Execute: Provide details of your organisation’s expertise and experience along with a commercialisation plan if applicable.
You are welcome to tackle multiple challenge statements by creating new participations, should you have more than one solution to submit!
The deadline for the submission will be on 1 March, 2024 at 23:59 [GMT+8]. Please note that all the deliverables must be submitted in English. - Register on the platform.

SELECTION PHASE
2 March, 2024 - End April/May 2024
During this phase, challenge statement owners will evaluate the proposals and the most innovative solutions will be selected to proceed to the clarification phase.
Innovators will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
Shortlisting criteria
- Technical feasibility of solution and novelty (40%)
- Business feasibility of solution (30%)
- Capacity and expertise to execute projects (20%)
- Clarity & comprehensiveness of proposal and test plans (10%)
- Technical feasibility of solution and novelty (40%)

CLARIFICATION PHASE
May 2024
During this clarification phase, our challenge statement owners may organise 1-to-1 sessions with shortlisted participants for further discussion and clarification, via online calls or through the challenge platform.

ONLINE SELECTION & ANNOUNCEMENT
May/June 2024
The list of awarded Innovators will be announced on the platform by May/June 2024 and will commence discussion with their respective challenge owners on the next steps.
